Protein waste such as feather hair and blood from slaughterhouse, usually in the form of inedible offal, may be compounded by the risk of damage to the environment and spreading disease. In this paper, an extrusion cooking process, different from pressure cook-ing rendering and enzyme processing, was developed. The proces sdisrupts the protein structure of the protein waste material, thereby increasing digestibility, which recycles such waste into protein ingredients for fish and poultry feed. The experimental resutls of fish feeding showed that when the extruded blood was partly mixed with fish meal as protein ingredient of fish diet, the feed cost reduced by RMB 0.4 for per kg of common carp fingerling production. Using extruded feather for the rearing tests on chicken, the conuersion factor was 2.12, survival rate 96.67
