Network computing

摘要

Network Computing, the third wve of computing, is quickly evolving, revolutionizing the way we do business and the way we live. The change will even be more profound than with the first two waves, i.e. mainframes and PCs. With Network Computing, information, applications, computing power, and a large variety of services will be accessible through the network, so that the network effectively becomes the inforamtion repository, the computer, the database, and the service provider. The most prominent example is the Internet, strongly demonstrating the inherent opportunities and the speed of deployment of this wave of computing.
