摘要

MRI can quantitatively map temperature changes in vivo with an accuracy of about 1℃ (1) and can detect temperature changes below the threshold for tissue damage (2). The aim was to test the ability of MRI-thermometry used with the thermal dose model (3) to predict the threshold for tissue damage. Further experiments were aimed to show how MRI thermometry and dosimetry could be used to determine the therapy-level power levels.
