摘要

A new process based on sequential anaerobic and aerobic treatments for the decontamination of polluted sediments has been tested at laboratory and bench scale. The process lasts around 300 days (200 anaerobiosis and 100 aerobiosis) and is able to give more than 90% total aliphatic and aromatic chlorinated molecules removal (initial concentration 3260 mg·kg~(-1) sediment dwb), around 70% PCDD/PCDF removal (initial concentration 2·10~(-4) mg TE·kg~(-1) sediment dwb) and to stabilise the leacheable metals. Because of the: ⅰ) low chemicals consumption, ⅱ) rather low utilities requirements and, ⅲ) technological simplicity of the tested slurry bioreactor, the process appears competitive with sediment washing and thermal processes such those for building materials production or thermal desorption.
