We discuss a method for creating trajectories over time, for a class of image sequences where only a few (e.g. 1-20) small moving objects occupy the image, and use a method where the film is chopped up into small sequences and each sequence is rewound 2 times. The application in question, reported in this article, is that of measuring trajectories of small swimming organisms (quick biological test for early pollution warning). The method is expected to work in the presence of some extra (non-rigid) motions (in this case reflections on the water surface) also present in the images. These regions need not be that small,
