STATUS OF PULSED POWER RESEARCH IN INDIA

摘要

Several laboratories in India are pursuing activities related to research, development and applications of pulsed power. Pulsed power is being used to study pinches in various configurations such as wire-arrays, magnetized target fusion and plasma focus. It is also being used for production of high power lasers and at various stages of high-energy accelerators. It is also being employed for generation of high power microwaves, ultra wide band radiations, electro magnetic pulse and pulsed radar. Pulsed power is being used for several industrial applications, metal forming and perforation, rock (mine) fragmentation, electroporation (sterilization) are some the examples.rnThe paper discusses these activities among others.
