This research attempts to develop a system with the integration of hypermedia technology and expert system technology for the improvement of both knowledge and practical skills of clinic veterinarian. The conceptual architecture is designed for providing the learner the globally structured knowledge. The access to such knowledge is guided in the system with two major knowledge bases: Veterinary diagnosis (Vet-diagnosis), which mainly is developed based on an expert system for clinic diagnosing practice; and Veterinary medicine reference (Vet-reference), which is developed based on the hypermedia technology for veterinary knowledge references. The structure of system, key components, related technology, and innovative thoughts on system development are addressed in this article.
