A Case Study on Wiki-Based Collaboration and Knowledge Share System for the Association of Computer Simulation

摘要

This paper examines the use of wiki in collaboration and knowledge share system by the Association of Computer Simulation, a community with flexible structure and members around the country. We present a case study online about how wiki was used to support collaborative knowledge sharing activities in a group of scholars and fans who were interested in the topic of computer simulation. The study has shown that wiki is a powerful tool for collaborative knowledge sharing system especially in virtual communities. Success in attempt to provide such support may depend on: graded participants to separate different contributions, some examples instead of empty pages shown at home page, and designed objective in introductions.
