This paper continues presentation of PINRO airborne research results for search andrnidentification of sea frontal zones. Here we consider our airborne oceanographic research in thernBarents and Norwegian Seas, where PINRO carries out annual air surveys in the interest ofrnfisheries oceanography information ensuring.rnPINRO has more than 60 years experience in the carrying out airborne remote sensing research ofrnthe sea surface. Among them the most part was carried out in the interests of the fisheriesrnoceanography.rnAs it is known many years research in the sea flontal zones and in the closest area carried outrnwith use of traditional methods, which were based in the vessel research (vessel surveys). But it isrnknown that these methods has some shortcomings. The main of them is following: during vesselrnresearch experts and scientist cannot to get real data about sea condition (in the first place:rndistribution of sea temperature; hydrodynamic situation - information about currents, eddies,rnmeanders; distribution of initial biological productivity zones) flom the vast of sea in a short timerninterval (quasi-instantly). This problem, as show our experience, can be solved successfully withrnuse of airborne remote sensing research, and this fact allows to say that airborne remote sensingrnresearch of sea surface in the interests of fisheries oceanography (including identification of searnfrontal zones) can be considered as more effective and preferable than with use of research vesselrnsurveys.rnSearch, identification and definition of structure and frontal zones parameters are very ilnportantrnfor oceanographic research and for fisheries oceanography as applied science. This circumstancernis stipulated by particular thermal and dynamic sea peculiarities in the fl'ontal zones and thernclosest area of its, that have very important significance for creation of fish accumulation.
