This paper is concerned with a study to retrieve electric material parametersrnof the forest and forest ground from fully polarimetric, interferometricrnsynthetic aperture radar data.rnThe polarization of the electromagnetic field is sensitive to the shape, orientationrnand material properties of the tbrest and ground scatterers under investigation,rnbut it is insensitive to their location and spatial distribution. Onrnthe other hand synthetic aperture radar interferometry from electrotnagneticrnfield data is sensitive to the scatterer's location and shape, but insensitivernto the scatterer's electric material parameters as well as to the scatterer'srnvolume scattering behavior, which .just reduces the interferometric coherencernand therefbre, deteriorates the pertbrmance of radar interferometry.
