One of the factors for the utilization of cellulose resorces is cellulolytic microbes and the key-point is the enhancement of the possibility of those microorgaisms. We are investigating the relation between changes in nuclear natrue and physiological characteristics using various mitotic arresters. In the typical cellulolytic microorganisms, i.e. Trichoderma reesei and Lentinus edodes, autopolyploids can be produced using mitotic arresters. And ,cellulase hyper-producers can be easily isolated from those autopolyploids with chemical treatment. In this report, we present that the essence of those works.
