Numerical approach to support splitting phenomena in some diffusion equations with strong absorption

摘要

There are interesting phenomena in the behavior of the support which is governed by the interaction between diffusion and strong absorption. The most remarkable phenomenon is the occurrence of the support splitting. In this paper we construct a difference scheme which enables us to find a sufficient condition under which the support begins to split.
