摘要

This paper discusses a web-based application of real-time remote manipulation of parallel kinematic machines (PKM) in a Wise-ShopFloor environment. First, the concept and theory of Wise-ShopFloor is introduced, and then its detailed architecture is illustrated. As an example, the remote manipulation including monitoring and control of a 3-dof(degree of freedom) Tripod-based PKM is implemented. Meanwhile, with PKM emerging as a next generation machine tool, its advantage is also presented.
