In this work, a novel load-matching procedure for microwave-heating applicators is presented and tested for a great variety of dielectric loads. Results show that it is possible to find an optimum load location within a two-dimensional multimode cavity that provides a minimum reflection coefficient for a wide range of complex permittivity values. The proposed procedure allows the efficiency optimization of any two-dimensional microwave applicator by means of the dielectric sample relocation as a function of its complex permittivity.
