The applicator includes a main body and an articulated connecting rod, in which the main body is coupled to the load application point with the use of a bolt. The connecting rod is articulated and connected to another load application point with the use of another bolt. A force distribution device is arranged to supply the force from a hydraulic actuator to the two different load application points. The connecting rod is arranged for transmitting the load to the load application points and for measuring the applied load. The resulting load is applied and distributed from the hydraulic actuator to the two load application points whose vectors are divergent and non-proportional. The connecting rod can also be used to measure the axial load applied to the load application points.
