An assessment of perforating performance for high compressive strength non-homogeneous sandstones

This paper presents the basis, approach, results, and conclusions from a study undertaken to evaluate perforation skin within an environment of high compressive strength non-homogeneous sandstone. It incorporates and integrates both field and laboratory data in an effort to better understand what component completion perforating skin contributes to total mechanical skin in the presence of drilling damage.
