Security Spaces for Protecting Users of Wireless Public Hotspots

the deployment of wireless public hotspots is growing but with open access and highly transient user populations the securing of these environments presents a significant challenge. A "security space" is proposed which provides a light weight signalling infrastructure based on tuple spaces that allows client machines to connect, contribute and collect security related information.
