Binders based on mixtures of polymers and waxes are suitable both for solvent combinedrnwith thermal extraction, as well as for pure thermal debinding. The recently developedrnplasma-assisted debinding and sintering (PADS) process has been targeted, for historicalrnreasons, on a wax-polymer system, appropriated for solvent combined with thermalrnextraction processes. As the plasma assisted process has proved to be viable in an industrialrnscale for second stage debinding, the need to optimize the process to fully accomplishrndebinding has turned to be a must, in order to completely establish the process both inrntechnical and commercial terms. In this paper we give an update regarding the developmentrnof the PADS process for which the full extraction in a single-cycle has been addressed.
