With ever increasing demand for mineral raw materials and cleaner environment, production companies do not only have to discover how to produce more efficiently, but also how to curb associated pollution more effectively. In this context, the present paper describes the developments in the ust control practices at the pelletizing plant of Gulf Industrial Investment Company (GIIC), Bahrain. Emphasis is placed on the effects of process improvements to increase the production level with minimum dust emission and on minimizing the adverse effects of dust still to be generated.
