The evapotranspiration rate from a reference surface, not short of water, is called reference crop evapotranspiration or reference evapotranspiration and is denoted by ET . Accurate estimation of evapotranspiration (ET_o) is essential for many studies such as hydrologic water balance, irrigation scheduling, and water resources planning and management. A program has been developed in Microsoft Visual C~(++) to calculate daily & monthly reference evapotranspiration using FAO-56 Penman-Monteith method for different irrigation project sites in Andhra Pradesh, India. Mean monthly reference evapotranspiration was calculated for different irrigation project sites and observed it is maximum in the month of May, i.e., 6.72mm, 8.37mm, 6.0mm, 5.27mm, 6.46mm, 6.26mm, 6.41 mm and 6.34 mm per day at Kaddam, Gajula Dinne, Yeleswaram, Dowlaiswaram, LMD Colony, SRSP, Nizam Sagar and Jurala stations. Mean monthly minimum reference evapotranspiration was observed at Kaddam, Gajula Dinne, Yeleswaram, Dowlaiswaram, LMD Colony, SRSP, Nizam Sagar and Jurala project sites were 2.96mm, 3.36mm, 3.24mm, 2.97mm, 2.99mm, 2.93mm, 3.54mm and 1.74mm per day. Standard error of estimate (SEE) values were calculated for all sites.
