Coevolution Between Industry Environment and Corporate Strategy in Hi-tech Industrial Cluster: A Complexity Perspective

For a hi-tech industrial cluster, one of the key success factors is the coevolution between environment dynamics and corporation adaptions. Drawn from complexity theory, this paper first categorizes four mixed states of firm and environment, and then explains the transfers between four states. The aim of our work is to theoretically explore how industry context and firm interacts each other by discussing different situation in a hi-tech cluster. We suggest some propositions to show the relationships between macrocoevolution and microcoevolution.
