In this paper, the author has analyzed the deficiency of the current training methodology in which it generally ignores the basic skill training but tends to put too much emphasis on the creative skill training.After that the author has proposed a 3-tier approach for engineering training in which each tier serves a specific objective.The proposed 3-tier curriculum starts from the basic engineering knowledge training follows by the comprehensive engineering skill training and finally, creative skill training.The tiered approach is easily digestible and the improvement to the trainee skill follows a natural learning process.The paper has elaborated on the objective and execution detail of each tier.
