摘要

Characterization of a high-pressure gasoline injector for direct-injected gasoline engine has performed bothrnexperimentally and numerically. The macroscopic behavior and spray characteristics are investigated in the condition ofrnvarious injection pressures and spray cone angles. The quantitative spray characteristics and spray behaviors arernmeasured by using phase Doppler particle analyzer and particle motion analysis system, respectively. Also numericalrninvestigation was performed using KIVA -3 with KH-RT breakup model, and compared with experimental results such asrnmean droplet size, droplet velocity and images.rnThe results provide the effect of injection pressure and spray cone angle on the spray tip penetration, spray width,rnand the atomization characteristics such as mean droplet size and mean velocity of spray. The predicted results of sprayrnbehaviors and microscopic characteristics are agreed with the measured results of spray characteristics.
