Research on Intelligent PID Controller for Attitude Control of Small UAV

摘要

The attitude control is the base of autonomic flight control for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), its flight quality mostly depends on flight control law. The paper presents an intelligent control algorithm for longitudinal attitude control of a small UAV, which is based on building characteristic models in (e-t) information space. A type of intelligent PID controller based on time-domain performance characteristic model is designed. Simulation results illustrate this intelligent PID controller has better performance than general PID controller and the method is suitable for attitude control of UAV.
