摘要

This paper presents an analytical method for the analysis and synthesis of cylindrical planetary mechanisms with variable structure, which are used as automatic transmissions with 3+1 gears. A few aspects are analyzed regarding the kinematics of complex planetary mechanisms, in whose constructive structure there are clutches and braking devices with friction. The braking (immobilization) of a kinematic link and coupling of two kinematic links are not simultaneous. This generates transitory phenomena, which are illustrated by diagrams.
