Harmonizing city size of the whole land-use planning and the city planning, monitoring and controlling the change of city size using RS and GIS

摘要

In this paper, taking harmonizing city size between the whole land-use planning and the city planning of Xinxiangcity as an example by using RS and GIS techniques, we investigate and analyze the inner and the surrounding area of the city, determine the reasonable land-use size, efficiently control city size and its development, reduce occupation of tilled land when constructing city, intensively utilize city space, and provide scientific basis for the whole planning and controlling city size.
