External capital investments in contemporary times

摘要

The article deals with aspects regarding external capital investments in contemporary times. The importance of those investments is due to the fact that they produce important training effects not only for the economy of the host country, but for the balance of payments too, promoting exports. The analyzed period was 1960-2008, the necessary information being extracted from The World Investment Reports published by UNCTAD. At the same time the article deals with some perspectives regarding FDI.
