摘要

Basic mechanical properties of unidirectional carbon fiber reinforced plastics and their scatter depend on fiber, matrix and interfacial properties. We progressed the interphase concept further with a new concept, the flexible interphase. This concept is that the interphase is not a surface; it is a region which has some amount of volume. Flexible epoxy resin was coated on carbon fiber strand. The effectiveness of the interphase on mechanical properties of unidirectional CFRP were investigated.
