The effect of tumor sonication on thernbiodistribution of fluorescently labeled Pluronicrnunimers and micelles was studied. The datarnimplied that the intracellular uptake of Pluronicrnmolecules from micellar solutions was causedrnmainly by the uptake of the unimers. Tumorrnsonication triggered local micelle degradationrnresulting in a substantially increased tumorrnuptake of both Pluronic and drug, I.e. tumorrntargeting.
