Sustained release of bupivacaine couldrnimprove the management of post-operative pain.rnMultivesicular liposomes, DepoFoamTM, were shownrnto deliver bupivacaine from <1 to 4 days afterrnsubcutaneous injection in a rat model. Modulation ofrnthe duration of release was achieved by modificationsrnto the triglyceride composition of the multivesicularrnliposome.
