APPLICATIONS OF LEAN CONCEPT IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

Lean Thinking originated from the Toyota ManufacturingrnMethod and spread by some America scholars. The core ofrnLean is to reduce wasting, which include unnecessary workrntime, materials and the business processes, etc.rnBased on these facts and considered the situation of thernconstruction industry that it is a labor-dense industry and thernefficiency of it is not high and the wasting of material isrnserious, this paper aims at combining the construction withrnthe lean thinking, and to find out a new way to solve thernproblem which the construction industry is facing.rnThis paper presents the source of the lean and therndevelopment of it and the main principles, and analysis thernperspective of the Lean Thinking application inrnconstructions, and gives a solution to execute it.rnTo adapt the development of Internet environment, thisrnpaper also presents the application of Lean Thinking basedrnon the E-construction and extends the application of thernLean Thinking.
