NEW TECHNOLOGIES FOR REDUCING AVIATION WEATHER-RELATED ACCIDENTS

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has developed technologies to reduce aviation weather related accidents. New technologies are presented for data link and display of weather information to aircraft in flight, for detection of turbulence ahead of aircraft inflight, and for automated in situ reporting of atmospheric conditions from aircraft.
