Stable high repetition rate pulses from a fiber laser

摘要

We report on the generation of a 100 GHz train of pulses from an Er-doped fiber laser, by using rational harmonic active mode-locking. The pulse width is ～ 4 ps. The supermode noise in the spectrum is reduced significantly with a semiconductor optical amplifier in the cavity.
