MRI APPLICATIONS OF TRIMETASPHERES

Luna nano Works is a new company spun out of Luna Innovations to commercialize the nanotechnology platform developed there. Over the last four years, over $9 million have been invested in the discovery and derisking the technology behind this new enterprise in Luna Innovation's unique translational research engine. Using a combination of government grants, competitively bid contracts and investments, the Company has identified four markets where it expects its technology to enable high performance. LunananoWorks expects to occupy its new, 24,000 ft~2 headquarters this quarter. Located in Danville, VA this state of the art facility will house its offices, a manufacturing plant capable of producing kg quantities of products and chemistry laboratories for customizing the trimetaspheres for specific applications. The subject of this presentation is the medical application of Luna nanoWorks' technology. Specifically, the MRI contrast media business. The goal of this program is to provide safer, more effective contrast agents to enable earlier detection of disease and superior patient profiling to tailor the therapy that best fits the patient's needs.
