EXISTING STATUS AND OUTLOOK OF CHINESE OIL GAS TRANSMISSION NETWORK

As a main element of China's fifth largest transporting services-pipeline transportation, oil & gas pipeline transmission has achieved great improvement on mainland since early 1970s as the oil fields like Daqing and Shengli have been successively developed. Over 10000km of crude oil pipeline ,7700km of natural gas pipeline and 1500km of oil product pipeline have been built up through 20 years and more. The annual circulation of oil product delivered by pipeline has exceeded over 61 billion t/km and piped natural gas has reached to 15 billion m~3. China National Petroleum Pipeline Bureau operates approximately 10000km of oil pipelines, that is 90% of the total length of the whoie country's, transports 60% of the whole country's crude oil and circulates 54 billion t/km each year which equals to 89% of the whole country's annual circulation of piped products. Pipeline transmission has become a relatively independent technical system among numerous services and has reached a comparatively high technical level in design, construction and operation.
