Additives to Reach colour Development with Universal Colourants

摘要

Universal colorants are applicable to a color system. Same colorants are used for tinting purposes of waterborne as well as solventborne paints. The complete development of color obtained from the colorant has a vital bearing on the application properties and quality of the tinted paints. Color development is effected by the composition of the colorant as well as the base paint. Various practical examples show the need to adjust paints, part of the color system, in order to obtain acceptable colorant compatibility. The effect of additives, used in the in the base paints, on color development is investigated.
