Real-Time Acquisition of Cardiac Data: A Versatile, Network-Based Approach

摘要

This paper describes the design and implementation of a server for acquisition of physiological signals and digital messages from laboratory equipment. Its use in a heart catherization laboratory and the advantages of this distributed approach over a monolithic system are discussed. Modularity, hardware independence, adaptability and realtime capability are the most important features.
