Intermediate of zwitterionic heterogemini surfactant was synthesized by N, N-Dimethylethylenediamine reacted with n-octyl bromide in presence of alkali catalyst. The influences of factors on the product yield were investigated, such as the quantity and proportion of KOH and CsOH, reaction time and the ratio of n-octyl bromide and N, N-Dimethylethylenediamine.The yield of the product reached 20% under the optimum reaction conditions. The product was identified by IR spectrum, 1 H-NMR.
