摘要

The assessment of technology skills is a necessary step in the technology training process. If technology staff is to meet the needs of faculty, staff, and students, campus customer needs must first be identified. The InfoTech Training team offers computer application training for MU campus customers (faculty, staff, and students). Matching MU's strategic goal of maximizing the use of technology with measurable outcomes is critical. To promote the use of technology resources through the Information and Access Technology (IAT) Services Department at the University of Missouri (MU), InfoTech Training assesses technology-training needs, and then responds by offering appropriate training opportunities and specialized services to campus customers. This paper concentrates on the data collection process and implementation strategies developed as a result of the 2001 campus-wide technology needs assessment.
