REEF-TOP SEAWALL AN ALTERNATIVE TO CONTROL WAVE OVERTOPPING

摘要

In the present paper the results of a hydraulic model tests on hydraulic behaviorof reef-top seawalls are presented. An empirical expression for the computationof wave overtopping of this type of seawalls is formulated and a design diagramis prepared. The advantages of this type of structures over conventional verticalseawalls and their application to beaches fronted by natural reefs are discussed.
