    REBECCA A. ABBOTT is a graduate student in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She has worked for the past four summers for International Business Machines Federal Systems Division Manassas Virginia. In the past five years she has received numerous national recognitions including co-recipient of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Alfred E. Bodine Award in machine tool economics. Ms. Abbott will complete her thesis for the Master of Science degree in June of 1983. She is a student member of IIE SME NSPE and Alpha Pi Mu.;
