J. Hunter & Associates ("JHA") prepared this paper for the Federal Public Review of the British Columbia Offshore oil and gas moratorium. The purpose of the paper is to share with the Panel, and the public, the results of four years of research by ]HA into the offshore BC oil and gas situation. A glossary is included at the end of the paper and explains abbreviations used. In view of the extensive material in the BCSR.P and FSRP regarding environmental issues, the paper will only summarize key points by way of this paper, but we do address some environmental and socio-economic points that seem not to be common knowledge.
