If data is a key to the future, the film andtelevision industry has already embarked on a journey tounlock a better future. Every major media company isworking intensively to integrate existing data systems andcreate innovative new systems to deliver more and betterinsights to decision makers. Those efforts are steadilyimproving enterprise-level data capabilities across theindustry.But as media companies add more and more data sources tofuel machine learning and other future applications togenerate even deeper insights, the industry needs to do evenmore—not just better systems in every enterprise, but bettersystems and tools for the industry as a whole. That startswith core data infrastructure. There is a growing need for astandard, organizing framework to capture and surface theinherent relationships between works and other entities aspart of that core data infrastructure.
