Convergence between the Cable Network and Telecommunication Network inChina

摘要

Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the cable network andrntelecommunication network have been regulated under two different government units.rnWith the development of the information technology, both networks have beenrnexperiencing tremendous changes. These changes blurred the boarder line betweenrnthe service domains of the two networks in China. The convergence of the servicernprovides development opportunity for both the networks. However the trend of thisrnconvergence also gives the challenge to the old regulatory authorities. This studyrnexplores the possibilities of the convergence of the two networks and provides a newrnregulatory model for the future.
