摘要

The New BaiShaTuo Yangtze River Bridge of Chongqing-Guiyang Railway is six tracks railwaybridge. On the upper bridge deck, 6cm thickness epoxy asphalt concrete flexible waterproof layer system wasselected to provide lighter self-weight. On the other parts of the deck, the dead Load Decreasing Measures wasalso considered, such as the usage of steel ballast wall or steel slot instead of concrete. Through usage of themeasures, the bridge's dead load is reduced from 107t/m to 97.5t/m, which saved engineering investment andgained impressive economic benefits.
