The loading method involves moving an automobile (9) along a loading station (6) towards a loading platform (10). The automobile is loaded on the wagon (W1-W5) of a spur track (N) from the loading platform via a bridge type crane (11). The loading platform has the same level as the wagon of the spur truck. An independent claim is also included for a fixing device for shipping motor vehicles.
