This paper presents a wind micro generation system modeling in MATLAB software. It is carried out a modeling and simulation of three sets of turbines with nominal power of 2.4kW, 3kW and 5kW, connected to a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG), which is connected to distribution network through a AC/DC/AC inverter, to synchronize with it. Two tests were performed in each set to validate the system modeling, one of them is on turbine nominal speed and the other one with a higher speed than the nominal one. The results of the system simulation for both tests obtained values according to the performed theoretical calculations. Based on this data was possible to verify that the performed system modeling is faithful to turbines behavior. Therefore, this paper contributes with a generic simulator of wind generation connected to network, where it is possible to verify the electrical generation viability through turbine and generation set data insertion, and local wind speed data.
