Effect of Taurine on Lifespan and Antioxidant in Drosophila

In order to observe the anti-aging and life-delay effect of taurine, the drosophila were divided into two parts, one part for the survival experiment, recorded the deaths until all the drosophila died, the mean life span(MLS), half a time of death (LT50) and mean maximum life span(MMLS) of drosophila were noted, the content of SOD and MDA in control and dose groups from both sexes were determined through the method of organization homogenate at 0d, 20d and 30d.
