摘要

This paper deals with a hydraulically actuated variable valve train for a gasoline engine. The actuation system proposed here is modelled together with a thermodynamic four-stroke engine model. Simulation based optimisation is used in order to determine free design parameters. The goal function used includes terms to satisfy a certain valve opening profile while at the same time keeping the power consumption of the system low. The result is a valve train system which can cope with conventional cam based valve trains from a power consumption point of view.
