To provide a technique for improving productivity of a product.SOLUTION: A conceptual design support system for supporting conceptual design comprises: a storage part in which rough structure information regarding a conceptual product roughly expressing a product satisfying a product requirement is stored; a production structure information generation part which generates production structure information regarding assembly of a plurality of structure elements including time required for assembly operations of the plurality of structure elements constituting the conceptual product by using the rough structure information; a rough process information generation part which generates rough process information showing the rough number of processes required for production of the conceptual product, and an outline of the processes including distribution of the assembly operations to the processes by using the production structure information; an index generation part which generates index information showing an index of propriety determination regarding productivity of the conceptual product by using the rough process information; and a conceptual design output part which outputs the rough structure information regarding an appropriate conceptual product whose productivity is determined to be appropriate by using the index information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
